Please be aware of nesting birds

In front of you lies the estuary delta of the Schlattainbach. This alluvial delta represents a species-rich and ecologically valuable floodplain habitat.

The floodplain provides a safe haven for numerous delicate bird species. They include common sandpipers – one of the most endangered breeding bird species in Switzerland – which are able to breed on its gravel banks. Any disturbance jeopardises their breeding success. Help to protect these rare birds and refrain from entering the estuary delta.
